CP Sport

The client

CP Sport are a national disability sport organisation and charity, who encourage people with cerebral palsy to live more active lives by promoting the opportunity, capability and motivation involved in taking part in sport and physical activities.

Providing a range of support services, CP Sport also use their voice to influence change for the benefit of disabled people.

The brief

With a new logo rebrand and website imminent, we were asked by CP Sport to assist with the launch, helping to implement a consistent rebrand strategy across all their social media platforms.

With the main aim to inspire, CP Sport wanted to widen their reach on social media, encourage engagement with new followers and drive awareness with new prospects.

Our approach

We created a campaign strategy to carefully consider audience, timings and messaging as well as developing a channel strategy to make sure we’d be creating appealing content for each platform.

Once signed off, Jo and Dottie got started on creating a plan and asset guide for the campaign. It was important for the content to be visually attractive, and the messaging to be clear on the brilliant support, resources and inspiration that CP Sport provides in the community.

Working with a graphic design intern at CP Sport, we were able to guide on artwork creation to ensure both platform and brand guideline consistency.

What we delivered

Having the content created and pre-approved on ContentCal meant that launch day was calm and focused (despite the volume of content!) and throughout the day our priority became monitoring the positive response.

Posts included logo and website information, brand storytelling and shouting out ambassador quotes. With a variety of visuals and conversational content, both reach and engagement rates increased across the platforms.

Alongside this, we also created Giphy campaign stickers ahead of launch day to increase CP Sports’ Instagram presence.

The result

The eye-catching campaign was recognised across the cerebral palsy and disability community with press articles, an increase in social media traffic, and a great response from everyone all round.

The campaign hashtag #CPTogether had multiple uses, all social media metrics increased, and the GIPHY stickers reached over 176,000 people in a month.

Most importantly though, we were able to assist the in-house marketing team with a well-planned and considered approach, making the social media side of the launch stress free for the team.

Head of Marketing & Communications Sandy Drummond said; “We hired Alchemy Creations to support the launch of our new branding and website. It was extremely important to us that we reached our audiences in a clear and effective way over different platforms and made a big impact. The team were absolutely spot on in planning, preparing and implementing a consistent strategy for CP Sport and informing the creative work for the launch. It was a pleasure to work with Jo and Dottie at Alchemy”.
